small corner building in São Paulo

This illustration is based on a small corner building I passed by on my way home while growing up. Every time I saw it, the diversity of its parts captivated me, like the building had its own ecosystem: the toy store on the ground floor, the small apartments painted with graffiti, and the roof above it all.
The man on the top floor is fictional, but while drawing, I wondered what would be in his mind while at the window with his last cigarette? "Damn, gonna have to grab more cigarettes after this one" maybe?
